How to Use This Paint

Six 37ml basic Artisan colors for the beginner s palette: cadmium yellow pale hue, French ultramarine, permanent alizarin crimson, pthalo green (blue shade), titanium white and yellow ochre.

This oil color line combines the consistency and pigment strength of genuine oils with the convenience of water-soluble paints.  Artisan Oils are non-toxic and clean up easily with only soap and water. 

Thick buttery consistency.

How This Paint is Made

Winsor & Newton Artisan Water Mixable Oil Colour is a genuine oil colour made from modified linseed oil and modified safflower oil.  The colour has been formulated to appear and work just like conventional oil colour. The depth of colour, thick consistency, lightfastness, opacity/transparency, permanence and drying times are all comparable to conventional oils.
